Meet The Team

Hey y’all, here’s the team for the 2014-15 year! Super excited, here are our pictures and a couple things about us

Enjoy,

The GSA Peer Leaders

Hello fellow human beings, my name is Cameron and I'll be your GSA president this year. I've been a part of the GSA for a while now and I love it. I love the conversations, the smiles and the fun. Making posters and eating terrible cookies sounds like a fun time, right? I hope y'all can love it too, it's really great. P.S. Look at me in the picture lookin all cool, you can look cool too like all these other wonderful people by just being you (that what the GSA is for!)

Hey there, beautiful people! My name is Nicole Dubov and I am currently Vice-President of the Gay Straight Alliance. I started in GSA freshman year but blah, blah, blah. What's really important is that I like people, and I care about everyone, including you, so join.

Hi! My name is Arnold, and my Preferred Gender Pronouns (PGPs) are He, Him, His. I have stumbled across the Gay Straight Alliance during freshman year, and I am happy to say it has been one of the most fabulous experiences I've had at Boston Latin Academy! Through this club, I was able to meet other students who identified as LGBTQ and share laughs and tears with all of them. Eventually, this gave me the courage to come out as gay to my peers by the end of sophomore year, and I do not regret one bit! Thanks to this club, I am able to dig my combat boots with one inch heels into the ground and take on the world with a smile *snaps fingers*. BLA's Gay Straight Alliance has basically become a part of who I am, and I am proud to be a part of it. Right now, I have the honor of servings as the club's first openly gay Treasurer. I look forward to working with all you lovely people, and please do not hesitate to come talk to me about anything! Stand out and be proud! :-)

13. Its an unlucky number to other people, but to me its my lucky number. Ironic isn't it? Every bad situation that has happened to me always had a good event come after it, and every good thing or situation that has happened to me had something horrible come after it. But I always look at the people around me, my role models, to keep positive. My advice to people is to look forward into the future and find something you enjoy to make you happy. -Susana Tran- Secretary

Hello Lovelies, I'm Kare :) That's right, as you can see in my picture, I refuse to give y'all my last name because I'd like to believe I'm just as fierce as the mononymous stars who came before me: Madonna, Beyonce, Elmo. This year, I'll be what I like to call, community outreacher. Connecting our gender & sexuality alliance with amazing opportunities in the outside world. Rad, right? A couple things about me: I love glitter/sparkles, fashion, and fun! I've been in the GSA since freshman year. So come on y'all, join us. Bienvenidos a one of the most fun times of your life <3
